The Mentoring Program Structure

The Climate Leader Mentoring Program is a 3 month long engagement beginning with the Kickoff session.

Your Kickoff is either our next Check-in or our Climate Project Showcase Zoom Conference, where you’ll have the opportunity to find out first-hand how the current participants are doing on their journey, get introduced to the Mentoring Program and decide if this is a good fit for you.

Within a week of your Kickoff, you will be paired up with a Mentor. Your first step is to agree on the time, frequency and location of your meetings, i.e. in person, by phone or remotely via Zoom or Whatsapp, etc.

In the first sessions, you will work with your mentor to define the goals that you want to achieve by the end of the Program.

Our Climate Project Self-Assessment template may be a nifty way to take stock of your project’s strengths and weaknesses to determine what actions would make the biggest difference.

Once a month, you have the opportunity to attend a Check-in Zoom session, where you will meet the other participants, share successes and learn from what didn’t go so well. You can also invite people interested in participating in the Program themselves.

During Month 2 and 3, you’ll continue to have regular meetings with your Mentor to discuss your progress, look at what’s missing or in your way and find creative new approaches to overcome any hurdles.

Once a quarter, the Climate Leader Mentoring Program hosts the Climte Project Showcase where each Climate Project presents itself and its accomplishments and can make requests for support to the audience.

The Program ends with the third Check-in. You can rejoin the program in a new Wave or you can participate as a Mentor as a way to pay forward what you got.

We have currently suspended the monthly events.

You can join the program at any time; please contact us here and we will be in touch with you shortly to match you with a suitable partner!
